Roger Federer takes on Rafael Nadal in the Madrid Masters Final Today

Final match of Madrid Masters Open will be played between two top ranked players Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal today (16th May 2010).

World No. 1 tennis player, Roger Federer, defeated Spain’s David Ferrer 7-5, 3-6, 6-3 on Saturday’s semifinal match. On the other hand, second seeded Rafael Nadal took on Nicolas Almagro in the 2nd semifinal of this tournament.

Despite losing the first set, Nadal made his strong come back and secured a 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 victory. He is the most probable player to win the final match as he won the titles in Monte Carlo and Rome.

Both of the players will face each other first time since their last year’s decider in Madrid which was won by Federer.

Roger Federer made into the final of any tournament since the Australian Open in January.
