Roger Federer is expected to get back his form in Spain

The performance of defending champion, Roger Federer, was questioned because of his poor performance this year. Even his defeat at the Estoril Open raised question about his possibility to hold the trophy in clay court. However, this world number one tennis player proved his ability with a round two win at the Madrid Masters and warned that he would recover his best form.

Twenty-eight-year old Roger Federer won the Australian Open at the end of January. After that he could not make his place in the final round of any tournament. He was supposed to break this tradition in the Estoril Open tournament but world number 34 Alberto Montanes beat him in the semi-finals.

Recently, Roger Federer has beaten Germany’s Benjamin Becker 6-2, 7-6. It took him only 81 minutes to win the match. This victory will increase Roger Federer’s boost and encourage him to continue his form in the upcoming tournament.
