Justine Henin is leading the betting list following Serena Williams in the second position

French Open is the second Grand Slam of the year. This tournament will start from 23rd May and will play until 6th June 2010. It will take place at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris, France.

Former world No. 1 tennis player, Justine Henin, has been listed as the favorite on the women’s side at the Roland Garros. She made her return to the competitive tennis after two years or break. Now, she is ranked 23rd in the WTA ranking.

Justine Henin is also known as great Grand Slam player as she has won nine major titles including four at the French Open. She was the wildcard holder in the Australian Open and finished the tournament as runner-up. She is eyeing for fifth Roland Garros title this year.

It is believed that top-seeded player, Serena Williams, will make a tough competition in this event. Recently, she has recovered from injury, but she has not got back her previous form. It is also thought that she may not snatch the title and get early elimination from the tournament.

Jelena Jankovic is considered to be another intriguing contender of this tournament. She is currently ranked fourth. She will try hard to win her maiden French Open title this year as she has never reached the final of Roland Garros.

Venus Williams is also another probable player who will fight for the trophy. This second-seeded tennis player has never won the French Open but made her one final appearance to her credit in 2002.
