Wayne Odesnik is facing ban to importing ban drug in Australia

American tennis player Wayne Odesnik is facing a two-year ban to importing drug in Australia. On January 2, 2010, the 24-year-old player was stopped by the custom officers at Brisbane airport. He arrived here to play in the Brisbane International and Australian Open tournaments. Custom Officers found eight vials after searching of his luggage. Each vial was containing of six milligrams of the banned HIGH drug.

The 98th ranked tennis player pleaded guilty in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Thursday to importing the banned drug. He was fined $8,000 and ordered to pay $1,142 in costs. It was really very shocking matter. This matter will be referred to the International Tennis Federation (ITF). It is the time to see what ITF announce as a punishment for Wayne Odesnik.

However, he could take part in the Brisbane International tournament and he picked up a $31,500 after reaching to the second quarter of the Australian Open.
