Roger Federer lost to Tomas Berdych in the fourth round of the Sony Ericsson Open

Top seeded male tennis player, Roger Federer, was beaten by 16th seeded Tomas Berdych in the fourth round of the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami. After defeating Roger Federer 6-4, 6-7, 7-6, Tomas Berdych moved to the quarterfinal round. In the quarter final, Tomas Berdych will face Fernando Verdasco.

It was a surprise defeat for Roger Federer. He failed to move further in this tournament. His early elimination from Sony Ericsson Open will disappoint his fans. However, this match was full of excitement.

The match between Roger Federer and Tomas Berdych was played for three hours. Tomas Berdych, who hails from Czech Republic, faced a tough challenge in this match. Roger Federer made 62 unforced errors that eventually put him down. He was broken three times by his opponent.

Tomas Berdych saved eight of his ten break points. However, his seven break points came in a tense second set. Tall Ivo Karlovic was stopped by short David Ferrer at Sony Ericsson Open 2010

Ivo Karlovic has become one of the second tallest players to have been eliminated from the Sony Ericsson Open 2010. He was beaten by David Ferrer of Spain in two straight sets on Sunday. He could not manage a victory despite getting support from rowdy crowd. This match was played on court 2 at Sony Ericsson Open. David Ferrer will face Rafael Nadal in the next match.

The match between Ivo Karlovic and David Ferrer proved that height is not a big factor in the game of tennis.

David Ferrer had a big challenge against Karlovic. He got a 7-6 (7-5) advantage in the first set. However, he ensured his victory in the second set by rolling it 6-3. Karlovic was good in serve. Other than that he had to struggle with almost everything. He had 27 unforced errors to Ferrer's 13 and won only nine of 39 baseline points.

The 29th ranked Ivo Karlovic, who is 6-10, is perhaps the tallest male tennis player in the world. He is one of the eight players in the top 100 who are at least 6-5. On the other hand, David Ferrer is just 5-9.

Another tall player, John Isner of Greensboro, lost to Juan Carlos Ferrero at the same day. Carlos defeated Isner 6-2, 3-6, 6-3. John Isner is just 6-9 while his opponent stands 6-0.

Olivier Rochus made upset against Novak Djokovic

Second seeded male tennis player Novak Djokovic has been left out of the Sony Ericsson Open 2010. He was beaten by Olivier Rochus of Belgium in the second round. Olivier Rochus defeated his opponent by 6-2, 6-7 (7-9), 6-4 during a rainy day at Crandon Park. After getting this victory, he has moved through to the third round. It was Djokovic fourth defeat this year. However, luck did not favor him. Surprisingly Rochus got three lives against Djokovic.

It was a closely contested match between them. Rochus won the first set by 6-2. After that, Djokovic made his return in the second set with a victory. The result of this match was secured in a tie-breaker.

No one could expect that Olivier Rochus will win this match. Olivier Rochus came into the match with just 4-8 mark in 2010.

The early elimination of Novak Djokovic has come as a great shock. He again failed to get any big trophy this year.

Wayne Odesnik is facing ban to importing ban drug in Australia

American tennis player Wayne Odesnik is facing a two-year ban to importing drug in Australia. On January 2, 2010, the 24-year-old player was stopped by the custom officers at Brisbane airport. He arrived here to play in the Brisbane International and Australian Open tournaments. Custom Officers found eight vials after searching of his luggage. Each vial was containing of six milligrams of the banned HIGH drug.

The 98th ranked tennis player pleaded guilty in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Thursday to importing the banned drug. He was fined $8,000 and ordered to pay $1,142 in costs. It was really very shocking matter. This matter will be referred to the International Tennis Federation (ITF). It is the time to see what ITF announce as a punishment for Wayne Odesnik.

However, he could take part in the Brisbane International tournament and he picked up a $31,500 after reaching to the second quarter of the Australian Open.

Justine Henin defeated Jill Craybas in the first round of Sony Ericsson Open 2010

Former world number one Justine Henin has got her first victory against Jill Craybas at WTA Sony Ericsson Open 2010 tournament on Wednesday. After beating her opponent by 6-2, 6-2, she has moved to the second round. It took her only 28 minutes to win the first set. This victory shows that she has not lost her dominance over the tennis court. Jill Craybas lost to Justine Henin third time.

American contestant Jill Craybas could not make any strong protest against Belgian former No. 1 Justine Henin.

Justine Henin got wildcard to take part in this tournament. She was out of tennis game almost 2 years. This tennis legend announced his retirement from tennis in 2008. However, since her return she did not win any Grand Slam trophy or even any big title. I hope that Sony Ericsson Open will create an opportunity to fulfill her dream. Venus Williams is looking forward to Sony Ericsson Open 2010

American professional female tennis player Venus Williams is eyeing for her 4th WTA Miami title this year. In her opening match, she will face Sorana Cirstea. This match is scheduled to kick off at 25th March Thursday night. Venus Williams is confident about her performance in home ground. She will get support from home crowd and from her family members who will come to see her game. Venus Williams is one of the most top bidding players in this tournament. However, her younger sister Serena Williams can not take part in this tournament because of her knee injury. Serena Williams had to opt out her name from BNP Paribas Open 2010 for her injury. I hope that she will be recovered soon and return back to the tennis courts as early as possible. Last year Serena Williams lost to Victoria Azarenka. Let us see if her elder sister can take revenge for her defeat.

The Sony Ericsson Open is an annual event for both men and women. This tournament takes place at Key Biscayne in Florida. It runs through two weeks. Rafael Nadal advances to the semi-final round after defeating Tomas Berdych

There is good news for Rafael Nadal fans as their tennis player has advanced to the semi-final round of the BNP Paribas Open 2010 tennis tournament. This third-rank Spaniard tennis player has defeated the 19th-seeded Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic in the fourth round by 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. In the semi-final round, he will face 20th-seeded Ivan Ljubicic.

Rafael Nadal had to struggle hard to get victory against Tomas Berdych. However, he got victory after playing 2 hours and 12 minutes. Tennis fans could see an exciting match between Roger Federer and Marcos Baghdatis. If you watch this match live on TV then you should know that Marcos Baghdatis made an upset against top-seeded player Roger Federer after crashing him out of the Masters 1000 tournament at Indian Wells. After playing this match two hours and 22 minutes, he has snatched the victory in the third-round on Tuesday night. The world No. 1 player was beaten by his Cypriot opponent 5-7, 7-5, 7-6(4). Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic have moved to the fourth round at BNP Paribas Open 2010

Both Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic have kept their dominance in the tennis court after getting victory in the third round at the BNP Paribas Open 2010. Now, they have moved through to the fourth round.

Third-seeded Rafael Nadal is the defending champion. He is struggling hard to regain his title again. However, he has got an easy victory against Mario Ancic. Mario Ancic was beaten by Nadal 6-2, 6-2. The duration of this match was 65 minutes. Nadal said that he is pleased with this victory.

The early exit of Svetlana Kuznetsova of Russia was a big upset at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells. Justine Henin losses in the second round at Indian Wells

Tennis fans had a lot of expectation about Justine Henin. Many fans thought that Justine Henin will win the title in this tournament. Novak Djokovic defend his Dubai Championships title again
