Serena Williams wins Australian Open 2010

The final match of the Australian Open 2010 was held between Serena Williams and Justine Henin. Top-seeded tennis player Serena Williams defeated her opponent by 6-4, 3-6 and 6-2. This victory has helped her to get 12th Grand Slam tournament. She was defending champion in Australian Open tournament. However, winning the match she remained unbeaten in this tournament. However, former world number one female tennis player Justine Henin played well. She had the possibility to win her another Grand Slam trophy. But luck did not favor her at the end. From the match report we can say that Justine Henin made the match more competitive after returning back into the second round despite her first set defeat. However, Australian Open Champion Serena Williams did not leave any stone unturned to win the trophy. She will earn $2,100,000 as prize money.

I can't believe Kim got obliterated in the third round by Petrova. Nice to see the women's side back on track though with her and Justine back in the mix.
