Justine Henin has moved into the semi-final of Australian Open 2010 after beating Nadia Petrova

Former world number one tennis player Justine Henin came out of retirement to take part in the Australian Open with the hope of adding one more Grand Slam title beside her name. The 27-year-old Belgium tennis player took wild card to play in Australian Open 2010 tournament. It is going to be her first major tournament from returning back from retirement. The good news is that she has moved into the semi-final round after beating Russian opponent Nadia Petrova in straight sets 7-6 (7-3), 7-5. It is thought that Justine Henin did not want to take any risk and did not want to go to the tiebreaker to decide the match result. The duration of the match was almost two hours. She is just two matches away to get one more Grand Slam. Let us see whom she will face in the semi-final round.

China’s Zheng Jie is the first female tennis player from Asia who has made her place into the quarterfinals after beating unseeded Maria Kirilenko by 6-1, 6-3.
