Perhaps year 2009 is a lucky year for American professional female tennis player Serena Williams. She has become the leading female tennis player. Now, she is taking hard preparation to take part in the Australian Open 2010. Recently, she has become the Female Athlete of the Year. She has been awarded for this prestigious prize by the members of The Associated Press. It is obviously a prestigious matter for any female tennis payer. She got 66 votes from 158. Votes have been cast by the U.S. newspapers editor. No one got more than 18 votes in the tally. This result was announced Tuesday. The 28-year-old player played well this year. She won some big events. Even her fans are surprised to see her impressive performance in the tennis court. I hope that she should try to make this year memorable.
