Middlesex Defeated Derbyshire by 50 Runs in Pro40 League

Middlesex pulled off an easy 50-run victory over Derbyshire in a match of Pro40 league. Thanks to a brilliant century from Nick Compton, who is the grandson of former England great Denis Compton, Middlesex put on 242 for 6. However, Derbyshire batsmen performed poorly and got all out for 192 runs.

Winning the toss, Derbyshire decide to ball first, but their bowlers could not give any justification to that decision as Middlesex went on to score a big total. Compton scored 107 runs off 117 balls. Chasing a big total, Derbyshire batsmen started losing wicket from the beginning of their innings and lost 44 wickets at 56 runs. Dan Redfern’s 32 and Tim Groenwald’s 31 were not enough for Derbyshire to bounce back.
