Coach Andy Moles Delighted at New Zealand Performance

New Zealand coach Andy Moles is overly happy with the performance of his boys against England in Champions Trophy 2009. The Kiwis got off to a poor start to the tournament as they were beaten by South Africa in the first match. However, Vettori and his side went on to defeat Sri Lanka and England in the next two matches, and thus, progressing to the semi final as Group B champions. Moles has also hailed New Zealand’s never-give-up mentality.

The New Zealand Herald reported:

"The one thing about this New Zealand side is that they're fighters and they fight for each other," he said.

"They knew they had to stand up and each person had to contribute the best he could."

Moles said the Black Caps had no preference over which opposition they faced in their semifinal in Johannesburg.

"We just have to make sure we play to the best of our ability," he said.

"If we do that, it doesn't matter who we play."

Well, I think, New Zealand has shown some impressive performances so far in the tournament. Specially, their victory over England proves that they have all the reasons to win the title of Champions Trophy for the second time. Now, let us see if New Zealand can continue their impressive form in the rest of the tournament.
