Australia Wins ODI Series against England after Winning 4th Match

Australia has clinched the 7-match ODI series against England as they defeated the hosts by 7 wickets. Brett Lee was the man who demolished English batting line up as England was turned from 111-2 into 220 all out with 21 balls remaining in hands. Lee picked up 5 wickets for 49 and showed a magnificent performance.

In reply, Australia lost only 3 wickets to reach the target with 38 balls to spare. Highest 62 runs came from Michael Clarke who remained not out, while Paine played a very good innings of 51 runs. Regular captain Ricky Ponting, who came back following a short break at home, missed his half-century just for 2 runs.

England has no way to recover in the series, but the English side can still finish the series with some confidence intact by winning the last 3 games ahead of ICC Champion Trophy 2009.
