Andrew Flintoff Rejected of ECB Central Contract

Andrew Flintoff has recently rejected a central contract offered by England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). No doubt, it came as a shock to many cricket fans. The reason behind the rejection of Flintoff is that he wants to be a free-lance cricketer, and thus, making himself available for lucrative twenty20 domestic tournaments in several cricket playing countries.

Theglobalherald reported:

The move, according to the Professional Cricketers Association, could well be echoed by many other players unless governing bodies reduce the current fixture pileup within the international cricket schedule.

Well, it would not be good for international cricket if other cricket players also follow the footstep of Flintoff in future. ICC should take some initiative in this regard as early as possible. International calendar should not be very compact and cricketers should allow to participate in twenty20 tournaments so that they can get some financial benefit.
