Sachin Tendulkar About His Career and World Cricket

Sachin Tendulkar has recently expressed his wish to continue his already glorious career for at least 2 more years. The batting maestro has also set a target to reach 15,000 runs in test cricket that, he says, Sunil Gavaskar has requested him to accomplish. Sachin thinks that he is good at cricket and that is why, he wants to stretch his career little longer. In fact, he wants to play the 2011 ICC World Cup scheduled to take place in the subcontinent.

Sachin Tendulkar already has 12,773 runs in test cricket, and thus, is sitting atop the scoring chart of test cricket. He is not yet pleased with what he has achieved so far. He thinks he still has the passion and love for the game and that is why, he is not thinking about retirement.

When asked about the future of test cricket, Sachin Tendulkar has expressed no worry about the longest version of the game. He thinks that test cricket is still the ultimate version of cricket. He believes that passion and desire for the game are the most important thing; rather than the money involved in Twenty20 cricket which Tendulkar compares with desserts.
