Pakistan Planning to Host Home Games in Abu Dhabi

Pakistan is going to propose ICC to host Pakistan’s home matches including Pakistan’s 2011 world cup matches at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi as a neutral venue. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ijaz Butt will meet Dilawar Mani, Abu Dhabi Cricket Council chief executive, very soon to discuss about the issue. Here, it is noteworthy that ICC stripped of Pakistan’s world cup hosting right following Lahore terror attack on Sri Lankan team bus.

ICC will sit with the chiefs of cricket boards in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka to discuss about the issues regarding 2011 world cup on June 3. PCB will first present the security plans regarding their venues to ICC, but if ICC does not accept it, then they will propose a neutral venue to host Pakistan’s home games including world cup matches.
