Chris Gayle: Should be Stripped of West Indies Captaincy?

Chris Gayle has created a controversy recently by stating that he would not be missing if test cricket dies. His remark on the test cricket has now been an issue of debate in world cricket. A number of former cricketers including former great Sir Viv Richards, Ian Chappell and Mark Taylor have fully criticized Gayle for his comment which might strip him off as West Indies captain.

Chris Gayle returned from South Africa, where he was representing Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2009, just 2 days before the first test against England at Lord’s. That was also raised a question regarding his commitment for West Indies team. Some even also suggested that he should be sacked as West Indies captain. Now, it seems that Chris Gayle is going through a tough time. Moreover, the on-field performance of West Indies team is not satisfactory at all as they were defeated by England convincingly in the first test. Now, let us see what is waiting on his fate?
