South African Spinner Johan Botha Suspected for Wrong Bowling Action

South Africa has clicnhed the five-match ODI series winning the fourth ODI against Australia and this is definitely good news for the South Africans. However, there is bad news too as their prime off spinner Johan Botha has been suspected by match officials for illegal bowling action. So, he will now undergo a bio-mechanical test of his bowling action, but he will be able to play the fifth ODI. In fact, he will be eligible to represent South Africa in international cricket until the result of the test comes out.

Three umpires of Monday’s fourth ODI match: Brian Jerling and Rudi Koertzen from South Africa and Sri Lankan Asoka de Silva suspected Botha’s quicker and doosra deliveries. Now, if he is proven to have wrong bowling action, then he will have to correct his bowling action to play for South Africa.
