India Holds 531-run Lead with 5 Wickets in Hands against New Zealand

At the end of the third day, it seems India is on the verge of another victory against host New Zealand as the visitors already have 531-run lead with 5 wickets remaining in the second innings. At stumps, India’s second innings total reached at 349 for 5 with Yuvraj Singh and Mahendra Singh Dhoni not out on 15 and 16 respectively. The star of the day is definitely Indian opener Gautam Gambhir who played a brilliant innings of 167 adorned with 16 boundaries and two over-boundaries. Dravid’s 60 and Laxman’s 61 also helped India towards an imposing total. O’Brien and Vettori took 2 wickets each, while Chris Martin picked up one wicket.

India has not declared their innings yet, though the current lead seems to be enough for the Indian bowlers to defend. Now, let us see when India will declare their second innings tomorrow.
