ICC Decided to Hold Champions Trophy after Every 4 Years

ICC Champions Trophy will take place after every 4 years from now. ICC executive board members have recently met in Perth, Australia in an executive board meeting and following their discussion, they have decided to hold ICC Champions Trophy after every 4 years in order to avoid the political and other regional problems being hit the tournament. For example, ICC was forced to postpone last year’s champions trophy to September this year as a number of cricket playing countries refused to visit Pakistan fearing of players’ safety. ICC has also decided that this year’s Champions Trophy will be take place in Pakistan, but Pakistan will receive the handsome amount as the hosting rights. So, it seems that PCB may not need to worry a lot from financial perspective.
