South Africa Wins ODI Series against Australia

With a convincing victory of 8 wickets in the fourth ODI of the five-match ODI series in Australia, South Africa clinched the ODI series too following their recent test series triumph against Australia. Batting first, Australia could score a somewhat modest total of 222 runs losing all the wickets with 2 overs lest in hands. Highest 63 runs came from Captain Ricky Ponting’s bat. Dale Steyn and Makhaya Ntini picked up 3 wickets each for South Africa. In reply, South Africa did not have any problem to reach the winning target losing just 2 wickets thanks to excellent batting display from opener Hamish Amla and AB de Villiers who remained not out on 80 and 82 respectively. AB de Villiers was awarded the man of the match award.
