Should Sachin Tendulkar be Excited with Ranji Trophy?

Sachin Tendulkar has said that he is happy to be part of history as he has recently won the Ranji Trophy with Mumbai team. It was the 38th Ranji Trophy triumph for Mumbai team and they are the most successful team. Well, compared to English county cricket and Australian and South African domestic cricket, Ranji Trophy maintains a very low profile. So, I am a bit surprised to know that Sachin Tendulkar is happy being the part of Mumbai’s 38th Ranji Trophy winning team.

Expressindia reported:

"Mumbai cricket has had a terrific history and some terrific players who represented the state. It feels truly special to be part of history," Tendulkar said.

"I would like to congratulate all my team members who really worked hard and they deserved every bit of it," he told reporters after the 243-run win against Uttar Pradesh at the Rajiv Gandhi International stadium.

Well, it is true that Sachin Tendulkar had a huge contribution to Mumbai’s success over the last two decades, but it is also true that he could not yet win any world cup with Indian team. He is considered to be a great batsman, but he is yet to win a world cup with India.
