ICC has recently published a list of all-time great cricketers and it took no time to be an issue of huge criticism in world cricket. The ICC list places Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara out of top twenty all-time great batsmen, making it stuff of joke. Tendulkar has been placed at the 26th position in the list and cricket world is now raving around about it.
The main basis of making such list was the consistency and the highest performances of a cricketer. Sachin Tendulkar has more than 12000 runs in test cricket and more than 40 test centuries. Here, my question is that a batsman can not score 12000 runs in one or two seasons, and unless he has strong consistency, it is not possible to score 12000 runs. When a batsman has more than 40 test centuries, it is really a matter of surprise that how ICC overshadowed his highest performances.
