Cricket Match on the Mount Everest!

Yes, cricket match on the world’s highest Mountain, the Everest. Don’t be surprised just yet, because you do not yet know who are playing in the cricket match. Well, a Twenty20 charity match will be held at the Gorak Shep, a place near the Everest base camp, 5,165 meters above the sea level. Two teams comprising of British players would take part in the game. Current England captain Andrew Strauss will lead one side, while other side will be led by England vice-captain Alastair Cook. The idea of organizing such a cricket match is the brainchild of a British cricket fanatic Richard Kirtley who came up with this idea while visiting Mount Everest in 2006. The match will take place on April 21, 2009.
