Australia vs South Africa CB Series Kicks off from January 16 2009

Cricket has gone through a number of changes over the decades. Most of the changes were brought in limited over cricket in recent times. Colored dress was introduced, then day/night math and white ball came into existence, followed by fielding restrictions in the first 15 overs, a rule which was changed by ICC couple of seasons back. Now, this rule is going to be changed once again with the start of the upcoming CB Series between Australia and South Africa with allowing the batting team to choose one of the three powerplays.

CB Series is a traditional cricket tournament in Australia which has been the first ODI tournament of the year for Australian team. Until last year, CB Series was a tri-nation series, but from this year, this series will feature only two teams including Australia in the tournament, making it a bilateral ODI series with South Africa being the other team this year. Australia defeated the visiting side in Twenty20 series, after suffering the humiliating host test series defeat at the hands of South Africa. Now, let us see if Australia can win the ODI series. Both sides are expected to bring some changes in their starting line up in ODI series.
